DM@P Hands-On Workshop: Editing Video

October 4, 11:00-1:00, G-26 Cathedral of Learning

This workshop is an introduction to video editing using the program Premiere. In addition to creating and editing their own videos, participants will receive example video assignments, resources, and learn other cool tips and tricks. All materials and equipment will be provided. No experience necessary. This workshop is open to all interested graduate students and faculty members.

DM@P Affiliated Faculty: Aaron Henderson, “Midway,” Solo Exhibition

Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Opening February 11 at 7pm (through 3/20)

“Midway” is created from footage and images captured at state and county fairs in Indiana and South Carolina. Multi-channel videos examine the impromptu performances, staged competitions and visceral revelations that attendees experience while riding Carnival rides.

Hands-On Audio Workshop

March 15th from 11am-12:30pm, G-26 Cathedral of Learning

This workshop will provide information on recording and sourcing audio, instruction and hands-on practice producing an audio essay, and a packet of audio resources and sample assignments you can take with you for future classroom use. The workshop is designed to provide a foundation for instructors who are interested in using audio in their own classrooms. No experience necessary; open to all faculty and graduate students. Workshop participants, please bring your own headphones or earbuds.
